    जाति-आधारित भेदभाव पर नये यूजीसी नियम

  • विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (UGC) ने उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों में भेदभाव, विशेषकर जाति-आधारित भेदभाव, को संबोधित करने हेतु नए विनियम अधिसूचित किए।

  • UGC (उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों में समानता के संवर्धन) विनियम, 2026 की विनियम 3(ग) के अनुसार, “जाति-आधारित भेदभाव” का अर्थ है “केवल जाति या जनजाति के आधार पर अनुसूचित जातियों, अनुसूचित जनजातियों और अन्य पिछड़े वर्गों के सदस्यों के विरुद्ध किया गया भेदभाव।”
  • इन विनियमों का उद्देश्य परिसरों में जाति-आधारित भेदभाव को रोकना और छात्रों, शिक्षकों तथा गैर-शैक्षणिक कर्मचारियों के लिए सुरक्षित, गरिमामय एवं समावेशी शैक्षणिक वातावरण सुनिश्चित करना है।
