The 2 papers of History Optional comprises Paper-I (Ancient and Medieval Indian History) & Paper-II (Modern Indian History and World History). The subject due to its extensive overlap (nearly 60%) with GS Paper I, Art & Culture, and Prelims. It is a static, "story-based" subject that requires analytical depth rather than rote memorization.
