भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) ने ग्राहकों को छोटे मूल्य की धोखाधड़ीपूर्ण लेन-देन से हुई हानि की भरपाई के लिए ₹25,000 तक का मुआवज़ा देने का प्रस्ताव रखा है, जिसमें वे मामले भी शामिल हैं जहाँ एक बार प्रयोग होने वाला पासवर्ड (OTP) साझा किया गया हो।
यह प्रत्येक ग्राहक के लिए केवल एक बार लागू होगा। क्षतिपूर्ति ₹25,000 या नुकसान का 85% तक होगी, और कुछ मामलों में RBI नुकसान का 70% वहन करेगा तथा शेष बैंक द्वारा साझा किया जाएगा।
