About Puli Thevar
- He was one of the earliest opponents of British rule in South India. He was involved in a vendetta with the Nawab of Arcot who was supported by the British.
- Puli Thevar, is considered the first south Indian to rebel against British rule.Â
- He fought between the 1750s and late 1760s.
