What is Vaishya Tekri?

Vaishya Tekri is a large archaeological mound located near Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

It is believed to contain the remains of a large Buddhist stupa, popularly associated with the ancient Kanipura/Kanakgiri Buddhist establishment.
