    • दांडी मार्च के बारे में

  • ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक सरकार ने नमक के उत्पादन और बिक्री पर एकाधिकार स्थापित कर दिया था तथा नमक कर लगाया था, जिससे यह बुनियादी आवश्यकता भी भारतीयों के लिए महँगी हो गई।
  • 1930 में गांधीजी ने घोषणा की कि वे नमक कानून तोड़ने के लिए मार्च का नेतृत्व करेंगे, क्योंकि नमक पर कर लगाना पाप है, यह भोजन की आवश्यक वस्तु है।
  • गांधीजी ने अपने 78 अनुयायियों के साथ 12 मार्च 1930 को साबरमती आश्रम से नमक सत्याग्रह मार्च प्रारंभ किया और 24 दिनों बाद 6 अप्रैल 1930 को दांडी पहुँचे।
