  •  रेत खनन से होने वाले पर्यावरणीय हानि को रोकने के उद्देश्य से एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय में, सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने यह स्पष्ट किया कि किसी भी नदी तल में खनन की अनुमति बिना वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन के नहीं दी जा सकती।
