On August 31, 2025, the UPSC held the UPSC CSE Mains exam which included the Optional Geography paper. With this exam, students were tested on a wide range of topics which included theoretical as well as applied geography and were tested on core concepts, analysis, and contemporary geography issues. Future students need to deeply analyse this year’s questions as they highlight the critical examination of the concepts and their application to present events on fundamental principles.
