National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the government space agency of the USA that deals with space exploration, study of Earth sciences, and research in advanced aeronautics.   • NISAR will help in monitoring events such as the motion of glaciers, sinking of the earth, earthquakes, landslides, deforestation, and ecosystem changes. This is very important for climate change studies and disaster management.
  • NISAR is the first mission in which both the agencies have cooperated technologically in building the hardware for an earth observation satellite.
  • Other than NISAR, NASA and ISRO cooperate on earth sciences, atmospheric research, and satellite data from each other for meteorology, agriculture, and environment.
