 इसरो के एक अध्ययन ने उपग्रह डेटा का उपयोग करके 2024-25 रबी सीजन के लिए भारत के कुल गेहूँ उत्पादन का अनुमान 122.724 मिलियन टन लगाया है, जो आठ प्रमुख गेहूँ उत्पादक राज्यों से प्राप्त हुआ है।

इस अध्ययन में कॉम्प्रिहेंसिव रिमोट सेंसिंग ऑब्जरवेशन ऑन क्रॉप प्रोग्रेस (CROP) रूपरेखा का उपयोग किया गया है, जो EOS-04, EOS-06, और Resourcesat-2A से ऑप्टिकल और सिंथेटिक एपर्चर रडार (SAR) डेटा का प्रयोग कर गेहूँ की बुवाई और फसल की स्थिति की वास्तविक समय में निगरानी करता है। 

31 मार्च 2025 तक गेहूँ की बुवाई का क्षेत्र 330.8 लाख हेक्टेयर था, जो कृषि मंत्रालय के आँकड़ों से मेल खाता है।
