Context

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will travel to Central Asia for a bilateral visit to Uzbekistan and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan.

Severe skill–job mismatch: Only about 8.25% of graduates are employed in jobs aligned with their qualifications, indicating widespread underemployment and qualification mismatch.

High educated unemployment: The unemployment rate is 13% among graduates and 20.4% among graduate women, significantly higher than the national unemployment rate of 3.2%.

25th Round of India–China Special Representatives’ Dialogue

India and China held the 25th round of Special Representatives (SR) talks, focusing on advancing boundary delimitation and consolidating peace along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
