Srajit Kumar, AIR-84, UPSC CSE 2025: Journey, Marks & Biography

Srajit Kumar achieved All India Rank 84 in UPSC CSE 2025 through his 2nd attempts, which showed improvement from his previous result of AIR 277 in 2024. He completed his Computer Science degree at IIT Kanpur after starting his education in Shahjahanpur Uttar Pradesh and later working at Oracle in Bangalore before he devoted himself to UPSC preparation. His optional subject was Anthropology and he attributes his achievements to Next IAS courses which included GS Foundation and AIM.

Prelims Strategy The team should first ensure correct answers to all static syllabus content. The team should then concentrate on achieving maximum correct answers in their known subject areas. The team should use short class notes to prepare for exams while practicing 50 to 100 multiple-choice questions from past year papers.

Mains Approach The students should use GS MAC and MTS 2024 to create organized responses which will combine current events with existing knowledge. The students should complete 7 to 9 minute responses while using diagrams and multiple types of evidence to support their work.
