The Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Exam is conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for the purpose of civil service examination in the top positions in the government of Rajasthan.

The Recruitment Process has 3 stages :

  1. Preliminary examination
  2. Mains Examination
  3. Interview

RAS Exam Pattern 2026

  • The RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Service) Preliminary Examination is the 1st stage of the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Exam.
  • It is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
  • It is a screening test consisting of a single objective-type paper. Below is the official RAS Prelims exam pattern:

Key Points

  • All four papers are compulsory; there are no optional subjects in RAS Mains 2025.​
  • Papers I–III (General Studies) are of Graduation level, while Paper IV (Hindi & English) is of Senior Secondary level.​
  • Each paper is allotted 3 hours, with exams conducted over two days (June 17–18, 2025) in morning and afternoon shifts.​
  • Marks obtained in the Mains are merged with the Interview (100 marks) to determine final selection.​

Syllabus for RAS Interview or Personality Test

  • This is the final stage of the selection process.
  • This stage contains 100 marks and in this stage candidates communication skill, mental abilities and other skills tested.

Tips for the Preparation

  • Prelims (60% Rajasthan focus): Master Lucent Rajasthan GK, practice 50 mocks (aim 120+/200), cover current affairs via Rajasthan Patrika.
  • Mains Answer Writing: Daily 4 GS questions; use Rajasthan examples (Indira Gandhi Canal, ODOP schemes).
  • Paper IV (Hindi/English): Practice precis, essay (Senior Secondary level).
  • Rajasthan Priority: Budget, schemes, history, geography. Revise 5x. Timeline: 6 months integrated prep.
