*The scholarship is applicable only to the Residential Advance Course Fee (RAC) and does not cover hostel and mess fees.
Kartavyam Gurukul is a comprehensive residential learning programme for serious UPSC Civil Services aspirants, under the personal guidance of B. Singh Sir. It brings structured academics, daily testing, answer writing, mentorship, a dedicated reading-hall seat and disciplined residential living under one system. Admission is through a transparent selection process: a written examination followed by a panel interview.

Who Can Apply
- Only candidates who have completed graduation from a recognised university, with the degree in hand at the time of application.
- No age bar beyond UPSC’s own, no attempt bar, no income bar, and no disqualification for having applied before.
- Please do not apply if you have not yet finished the GS syllabus once, cannot suspend other commitments for the full term, or are still deciding whether to prepare seriously.

Every room is furnished and air-conditioned with 24×7 power backup. Irrespective of room type, every student gets the same dedicated reading-hall seat (200-seat hall, 6 AM – 11:59 PM), the same mess access, laundry, daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi, RO water, on-call doctor, counsellor and parent portal. Dedicated, separately-secured residential wings for girls and boys.
Important Notes
- The selection test fee of Rs. 100/- is non-refundable.
- Hostel rent is payable quarterly in advance. A refundable caution deposit of ₹15,000 is due with the first instalment and is refunded within 30 days of vacating, after clearance of dues and deduction for damages.
- Electricity charges are applicable based on actual usage. Room heaters are not allowed, for safety reasons.
- Room type is allotted at admission on a first-confirmed, first-served basis. Facility visits are open only to selected candidates, before confirming admission.
