class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Ministry of Education has approved<strong> five Centres of Excellence (CoE)<\/strong> for the study of <strong>classical languages.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More About the News<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The approved CoE are for the studies in <strong>Classical Assamese, Classical Bengali, Classical Marathi, Classical Pali and Classical Prakrit.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>These will be established at <\/strong>Tezpur<strong> <\/strong>University in Assam, Visva-Bharati University in West Bengal, Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute in Pune, Central University of Odisha, and Central University of Gujarat.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The initiative will provide dedicated institutional support<\/strong> for advanced academic research, preservation and digitisation of linguistic and literary heritage, and wider dissemination of knowledge relating to these Classical Languages.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Classical Languages<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>India had 11 classical languages<\/strong> \u2014 Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Marathi, Assamese, Bengali (Bangla), Pali and Prakrit.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tamil was declared a classical language in <strong>2004<\/strong>, Sanskrit in <strong>2005<\/strong>, Kannada in <strong>2008<\/strong>, Telugu in <strong>2008<\/strong>, Malayalam in <strong>2013<\/strong>, and Odia in <strong>2014<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"88cae3\" antiquity of its early texts<\/strong> or recorded history, spanning a period of <strong>1,500-2,000 years.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A body of ancient literature or texts<\/strong> that is considered heritage by generations of speakers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge texts, <\/strong>especially prose texts, in addition to poetry, epigraphical and inscriptional evidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Classical Language and its literature may be distinct from its current form or show discontinuity with later forms derived from the Court has not approved any modified version of Form 6<\/strong> used for inclusion of names in <strong>electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Form 6<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Form 6 is issued by the <strong>Election Commission of India (ECI).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is the application for <strong>new voter registration.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s also the <strong>same application for deleted voters who want to apply afresh.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The form seeks personal details, proof of age and ordinary residence, and declarations about citizenship and whether the applicant is already registered class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Form 6<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the new Form 6 published in July, <strong>applicants are asked to choose between three statements:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>whether their name appeared in the electoral roll during the last SIR held in the early 2000s,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether a parent\u2019s or grandparent\u2019s name appeared in that roll,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>whether neither their name nor that of their parents appeared in it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Although the new declaration is not marked as mandatory, applicants cannot submit the online form without filling it.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moreover, the guidelines warn that making a false statement in it is punishable under Siberia<\/strong>, Russia, has triggered quarantine and precautionary measures after a laboratory worker at an anti-plague research institute died.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plague is an infectious disease caused by the <strong>bacteria <\/strong><strong><em>Yersinia pestis<\/em><\/strong>, usually found in small mammals and their fleas. It occurs on all continents <strong>except Oceania<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is transmitted between animals through fleas. Humans can contract plague through the bite of infected vector fleas, unprotected contact with infectious bodily fluids or contaminated materials, or inhalation of respiratory particles from a patient with pneumonic plague.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Types of plague:<\/strong> There are three main clinical forms:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bubonic plague:<\/strong> Usually follows an infected flea bite and causes <strong>painful, swollen lymph nodes<\/strong> called buboes.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Septicemic plague:<\/strong> Occurs when <em>Y. pestis<\/em> infects the <strong>bloodstream<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pneumonic plague:<\/strong> Affects the <strong>lungs<\/strong> and can develop when plague spreads to the lungs from another form, or after inhaling infectious respiratory droplets from an infected person or animal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Symptoms:<\/strong> High fever, chills, severe headache and weakness, followed by <strong>shortness of breath, chest pain and cough<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fatality:<\/strong> It has a case-fatality ratio of 30% to 100% if left untreated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Treatment: <\/strong>Plague is treatable with antibiotics (such as gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, or doxycycline), making early recognition Desert National Park<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Desert National Park is located in <strong>Jaisalmer and Barmer districts<\/strong> of Rajasthan, within the <strong>Thar Desert.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It was established in <strong>1980<\/strong> under the <strong>Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, <\/strong>to safeguard the unique and fragile desert ecosystem of the Thar.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Background: <\/strong>Declared a protected area in 1980 to combat desertification and
