S. pneumoniae is normally harmless.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>But when the<strong> body&#8217;s immune system becomes weaker,<\/strong> these bacteria <strong>may invade lungs <\/strong>and <strong>cause pneumonia and <\/strong>can also cause <strong>meningitis, and sepsis.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These diseases are called<strong> pneumococcal diseases,<\/strong> and <strong>can be prevented by vaccines.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Current Vaccines:<\/strong> The current pneumococcal vaccines <strong>protect against only a subset of the 100-odd serotypes.\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To increase coverage, scientists need to include <strong>additional serotype-specific capsular polysaccharides in the Norgay National Adventure Awards<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The awards recognise outstanding <strong>achievements by individuals in the field of adventure <\/strong>and seek to promote a spirit of endurance, risk-taking, teamwork and quick and effective decision-making in challenging situations.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The awards are given in <strong>four
