Both countries recognise that <strong>energy security, low-carbon development and carbon markets are interlinked<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cooperation covers renewable energy, energy efficiency, green technologies, electrification and climate-resilient development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Germany\u2019s technological capabilities<\/strong> and<strong> India\u2019s large-scale clean-energy requirements<\/strong> create scope for collaboration in <strong>green hydrogen, renewable energy, storage and sustainable mobility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trade and Investment: <\/strong>Bilateral trade is supported by strong complementarities in <strong>engineering goods, automobiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, machinery and technology<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>However, India needs greater access to German technology and investment, while German companies can benefit from India\u2019s expanding market and manufacturing capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Defence and Strategic Cooperation: <\/strong>Defence cooperation is gaining importance amid the changing European and <strong>Indo-Pacific<\/strong> security environment.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Germany\u2019s Zeitenwende,<\/strong> a strategic reassessment of its security policy following Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine has opened possibilities for deeper engagement with India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cooperation can expand in defence manufacturing, maritime security, technology and supply-chain resilience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project-75(I):<\/strong> India\u2019s programme to acquire six advanced conventional submarines equipped with Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) systems under the Strategic Partnership Model.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Multilateral and Global Issues: <\/strong>India and Germany broadly support a <strong>rules-based international order<\/strong>, reform of global institutions and stronger cooperation on climate change and sustainable development.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Germany remains an important partner for India within the <strong>EU framework<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Related Concerns and Issues<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Differences over <strong>trade, market access and regulatory standards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Divergent approaches on issues such as Russia and certain global conflicts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Need to translate political commitments into greater <strong>investment and technology transfer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenges in creating resilient and diversified critical supply chains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balancing Germany\u2019s environmental regulations with India\u2019s developmental and energy-security requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Way Forward: Strengthening Relations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>India and Germany should adopt a <strong>\u2018technology &#8211;
