At least 60% of CRP-EPs are women; Around 90% of CRP-EPs are recruited from SHG households.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus on Vulnerable Sections:<\/strong> Priority to SC\/ST communities, minorities, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), poor rural households and individuals with little educational attainment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Ownership:<\/strong> Enterprises are selected based on poverty status, local needs, entrepreneurial potential and enterprise viability assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Achievements of SVEP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enterprise Development: <\/strong>Supported <strong>over 4.32 lakh rural enterprises<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Highest implementation in Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Impact Assessment (Quality Council of India): <\/strong>Major findings include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>99%<\/strong> enterprises were profitable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enterprises contributed <strong>57%<\/strong> of household income.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Average monthly revenue from enterprise: <strong>\u20b939,000<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manufacturing businesses earned about <strong>\u20b947,800 a month.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>96% of entrepreneurs<\/strong> said they saw an increase in savings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>75% of firms<\/strong> were women-owned or managed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Socio-Economic Outcomes:<\/strong> Greater financial inclusion, higher household incomes, better nutrition, education, sanitation and health, greater confidence and social standing of women and support for first generation rural entrepreneurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Case Study: Success Stories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bhagyashri Londhe, Maharashtra:<\/strong> Expanded her food processing business with the help of an SVEP loan of \u20b945,000.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Earned <strong>\u20b95 lakh within 10 days<\/strong> at Mahalaxmi Saras.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Created employment for rural women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Poonam (Uttar Pradesh): <\/strong>Became a certified <strong>CRP-EP<\/strong>; mentored around <strong>40 enterprises<\/strong>; and facilitated credit, business planning, and market access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Rural Development Programmes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DAY-NRLM: <\/strong>Women&#8217;s SHGs and livelihood promotion. It has constructed a strong institutional framework on which the success of SVEP is built.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key Highlights:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organises rural poor households into Self Help Groups (SHGs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mainly targeting women\u2019s economic empowerment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotes financial inclusion, skill development and diversification of income sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME)<\/strong> <strong>Support <\/strong>to micro food processing enterprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PMEGP:<\/strong> Credit Linked Employment Generation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MUDRA Yojana: <\/strong>Collateral free loans to smaller enterprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stand-Up India: <\/strong>Women and SC\/ST entrepreneurship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SFURTI:<\/strong> Up-gradation of Traditional Industries and Clusters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>National Rural Economic Transformation Project (NRETP):<\/strong> Development of enterprise through SHGs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Related Challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Limited market access: <\/strong>Rural firms have long faced challenges in areas like branding, packaging and marketing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Credit Constraints: <\/strong>Reliance on community donations and no access to official credit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Limited class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Way Forward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Boost rural start-up ecosystem:<\/strong> Set up incubation centres and innovation hubs in remote regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strengthen Market Linkages: <\/strong>Promote e-commerce platforms such as GeM, ONDC, digital marketplaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhance Access to Finance: <\/strong>Expand credit guarantee schemes and link with MUDRA and Stand-Up India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technology Adoption:<\/strong> Promote digital bookkeeping, UPI payments, AI-enabled market intelligence and e-commerce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skill Development:<\/strong> Provide sector specific entrepreneurial training through Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cluster-Based Development:<\/strong> Develop producer collectives and value chains to strengthen
