class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The temple&#8217;s restoration earned the UNESCO Asia Pacific Award of Distinction (2024) for its attempt to maintain the temple&#8217;s heritage while reinforcing its structural integrity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project combined traditional temple building practices (Sthapatya Veda, Agama Shastra, lime mortars) with modern technologies like drone surveys, digital mapping, photogrammetry and structural engineering.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Every granite block was numbered, disassembled and then reassembled in its original position to preserve in Puri, Odisha.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About Rath Yatra<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Known by several names, including <strong>Gundicha Jatra, Ghosa Jatra<\/strong> and <strong>Navadina Jatra<\/strong>, the Rath Yatra is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of<strong> Lord Vishnu<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During the annual Rath Yatra festival, Lord Jagannath and his two siblings \u2013 elder brother Lord Balabhadra and younger sister Devi Subhadra \u2013 give darshan to devotees from their chariots and travel to the <strong>Gundicha Temple<\/strong>, revered as the maternal aunt\u2019s abode of Lord Jagannath.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Yatra begins from the J<strong>agannath Temple in Puri and concludes at the Shree Gundicha Temple<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The deities will stay at the Gundicha Temple for nine days before returning to the Jagannath Temple on the same chariots during the <strong>Bahuda Yatra<\/strong>, also known as the return car festival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beyond Puri, the Jagannath Rath Yatra is also celebrated with equal religious fervour across several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, drawing large crowds of devotees who participate in ceremonial chariot processions and prayers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ebecf0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Jagannath Puri Temple<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shree Jagannath Puri Temple is one of the most impressive monuments of the State of Odisha.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The temple was built in the <strong>12th Century AD by King Anatavarman Chodaganga Deva <\/strong>of the<strong> Eastern Ganga Dynasty.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jagannath Puri temple is called <strong>\u2018Yamanika Tirtha\u2019<\/strong> where, according to the Hindu beliefs, the power of \u2018Yama\u2019, the god of death has been nullified in Puri due to the presence of Lord Jagannath, popularly known as Lord Krishna.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is one of the <strong>Dhammas (Holiest of the holy place)<\/strong> out of four Dhamas i.e. Puri, Dwarika, Badrinath &amp; Rameswar, in India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This temple was called the<strong> \u201cWhite Pagoda\u201d<\/strong> and is a part of Char Dham pilgrimages (Badrinath, Dwaraka, Puri, Rameswaram).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Architectural Features of the Temple<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The entire temple complex is enclosed within t<strong>wo concentric walls<\/strong>, the Kuruma Bheda (Inner wall) and the Meghnad Pachira (Wall).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are <strong>four gates<\/strong> to the temple-<strong> Eastern \u2018Singhdwara<\/strong>\u2019 which is the main gate with two crouching lions, <strong>Southern \u2018Ashwadwara<\/strong>\u2019, <strong>Western \u2018Vyaghra Dwara\u2019 and Northern \u2018Hastidwara\u2019<\/strong>. variety of applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Muricatacin:<\/strong> Researchers used their new method <strong>to synthesize more than 10 biologically and industrially relevant molecules <\/strong>including a molecule called <strong>muricatacin.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Muricatacin is <strong>naturally found in Laxman phal (soursop) <\/strong>and is believed to have<strong> anti-cancer properties.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extracting muricatacin from naturally-occurring substances is considered <strong>extremely difficult and inefficient.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Only about 15 mg of muricatacin<\/strong> is obtained from about <strong>15 kg of plant material,<\/strong> and that too is mixed with other substances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The researchers were able to <strong>synthesize muricatacin in the laboratory <\/strong>in an easy and more efficient manner by converting other fatty
