levels are now reported at <strong>10, 12, 17, and 21 <\/strong>respectively, recording a significant improvement as compared to the NEP\u2019s recommended ratio of<strong> 30:1.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dropout Rate: <\/strong>At the preparatory level, the dropout rate declined from 2.3 percent in 2024-25 to 1.8 percent in 2025-26 and at the secondary level from 8.2 percent to 7 percent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Retention rates<\/strong> increased from 82.8% (2024-25) to 83.7% (2025-26) at the middle level and from 47.2% (2024-25) to 51.9% (2025-26) at the secondary level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER)<\/strong> at the secondary level increased from 68.5% in 2024\u201325 to 71.7% in 2025-26.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improved Female Representation:<\/strong> It witnessed an increase in the representation of female teachers, with women now comprising 54.9% of the total
