tensions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The pact includes a <strong>14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)<\/strong> between the United States and Iran outlining a roadmap for de-escalation, restoration of commercial navigation through the <strong>Strait of Hormuz,<\/strong> and negotiations on sanctions relief etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It also includes an <strong>immediate halt to military action,<\/strong> including in Lebanon, and a <strong>60-day negotiation Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) <\/strong>was signed between Iran and the <strong>P5+1 countries.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Iran agreed to limit<strong> uranium enrichment<\/strong> and accept enhanced inspections in exchange for sanctions relief.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>U.S. Withdrawal and Renewed Tensions:<\/strong> The United States withdrew from the JCPOA in <strong>2018<\/strong> and reimposed sanctions on Iran.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In response, Iran gradually reduced its compliance with several provisions of the reduction in tensions will lower the risk of <strong>military confrontation and proxy conflicts<\/strong> across the region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also the stable conditions will <strong>ensure smoother energy flows<\/strong> and reduce volatility in global oil markets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved security conditions will<strong> encourage trade, investment, and reconstruction<\/strong> efforts in conflict affected areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For India<\/strong>, improved regional conditions are necessary to boost the development of <strong>Chabahar Port<\/strong> and the <strong>International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the Challenges?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deep-rooted <strong>mistrust among regional actors <\/strong>continues to hinder lasting peace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The influence of <strong>non-state armed groups<\/strong> and <strong>proxy networks <\/strong>are going to complicate regional security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Key <strong>disagreements over Iran&#8217;s nuclear programme<\/strong> and the future regional security framework remain unresolved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Concluding remarks<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States highlights the continuing relevance of dialogue in addressing complex geopolitical disputes.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Though significant differences persist, sustained
