Sudarshini<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>INS Sudarshini is a <strong>sail training ship of the Indian Navy <\/strong>designed to train naval personnel in <strong>traditional sailing and seamanship skills.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The vessel was built by <strong>Goa Shipyard Limited<\/strong> and was commissioned into the <strong>Indian Navy in 2012.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lokayan 26 Expedition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Lokayan 26 Expedition is a landmark <strong>10-month, 22,000-nautical-mile <\/strong>transoceanic voyage by the Indian Navy&#8217;s sail training ship, INS Sudarshini.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The expedition aims to promote <strong>maritime diplomacy, strengthen relations with friendly nations, and enhance professional sailing skills<\/strong> among naval personnel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The voyage marks the first Atlantic crossing by INS Sudarshini, while the last such crossing was undertaken by <strong>INS Tarangini in 2007.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" due to its potential impact on the White-Bellied Heron.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kalai-II Hydroelectric Project<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The project is a <strong>1,200 MW<\/strong> run-of-the-river hydropower project proposed by THDC (Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited) India Limited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is located in <strong>Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh<\/strong>, near the India\u2013China border.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project involves the construction of a <strong>128.5-metre concrete gravity dam<\/strong> and an <strong>underground powerhouse.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Concerns: <\/strong>Around 869 hectares of forest land will be diverted, including the submergence of 638 hectares of forest area.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Since Arunachal Pradesh has more than two-thirds of its geographical area under forests, compensatory deer is a <strong>small cervid<\/strong> native to the region of the Indian subcontinent and Indo-Gangetic Plain.
