the Indo-Pacific region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Highlights of the Visit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Agreements were exchanged<\/strong> between both the nations on;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>promoting<strong> cooperation in the field of Defence Cyber<\/strong>;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>training between <strong>India\u2019s National Defence College and Korea National Defence University<\/strong>; and\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UN Peacekeeping Cooperation<\/strong>, making the partnership stronger and multidimensional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both the nations signed two significant MoUs for co-developing <strong>Self-propelled air defence systems and Directed energy weapon systems.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Larsen &amp; Toubro and Hanwha <\/strong>signed an agreement to strengthen defence technology cooperation and capacity building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They also Manufacturing:<\/strong> South Korea is a global leader in <strong>semiconductors, EV batteries, electronics, and shipbuilding,<\/strong> helping India strengthen its manufacturing and technological capabilities.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Companies such as <strong>Samsung, Hyundai Motor Company, LG Electronics, and Kia Corporation<\/strong> support India\u2019s Make in India initiative the FA-50 light combat aircraft, <\/strong>has opened new avenues for collaboration in fighter technologies, engines, avionics, missile integration, and maintenance systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Economic Synergy: <\/strong>South Korea is an <strong>important source of FDI <\/strong>and a major trading partner for India under the<strong> India\u2013ROK CEPA.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maritime Cooperation: <\/strong>South Korea\u2019s <strong>expertise in shipbuilding and submarine technologies<\/strong> supports India\u2019s maritime and naval modernisation ambitions in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Brief on India- South Korea Relations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cultural and Historical Relations: <\/strong>The two countries share deep historical ties, notably the legendary marriage of an <strong>Indian Princess from Ayodhya (Queen Heo Hwang-ok)<\/strong> to King Kim Suro of the Gaya kingdom in <strong>48 CE.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The growing cultural exchanges through<strong> K-pop, K-dramas, and Indian cinema <\/strong>strengthen people-to-people ties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Diplomatic Cooperation:<\/strong> India and South Korea elevated their ties to a
