<strong>India and the Nordic countries <\/strong>are committed to \u201cdemocracy, rule of law and multilateralism\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nordic Countries<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nordic countries are a<strong> group of countries in northern Europe <\/strong>consisting of <strong>Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The designation includes the <strong>Faroe Islands and Greenland, <\/strong>which are autonomous island regions of <strong>Denmark,<\/strong> and the<strong> \u00c5land Islands<\/strong>, an autonomous island region of <strong>Finland.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div Supreme Court has allowed euthanasia for rabid, incurably ill, or demonstrably dangerous stray dogs, citing the need to protect human life and public safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Observations of the Supreme Court<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Supreme Court observed that the State has a <strong>constitutional obligation <\/strong>to protect citizens from repeated stray dog attacks and rabies threats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Court upheld its earlier order directing the<strong> removal of stray dogs <\/strong>from <strong>schools, hospitals, markets, and other high-footfall public spaces.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Municipal bodies<\/strong> may resort to euthanasia in areas where the stray dog population has reached alarming levels and where repeated dog bites or aggressive attacks continue to threaten public safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Constitutional and Legal Dimensions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Article 21 and Human Security: <\/strong>The judgment expanded Police has suggested a <strong>larger SC Bench to review the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) bail curbs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 exception\u201d<\/strong> even in prosecutions under the UAPA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Section 43D(5) of the UAPA imposes stringent restrictions on bail. <\/strong>A court has to conclude whether the
