incomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About SHE-MARTs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SHE-MARTs are<strong> decentralised, women-led rural marketing and enterprise ecosystems<\/strong> designed to provide market access, branding support, aggregation facilities, and retail opportunities for products made by <strong>Self-Help Groups (SHGs) <\/strong>and women producer collectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The initiative aims to transform rural women<strong> from livelihood seekers into rural entrepreneurs <\/strong>and market leaders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SHE-MARTs were announced in the <strong>Union Budget 2026<\/strong> as part of the government\u2019s strategy for women-led rural economic participation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Role of SHGs in Women\u2019s Empowerment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Financial through financial and institutional support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lakhpati Didi Initiative: <\/strong>The Lakhpati Didi Initiative aims to transform women associated with <strong>Self-Help Groups Didi scheme: <\/strong>It is an initiative aimed at providing drones to <strong>15,000 <\/strong>selected women self-help groups (SHGs) for providing rental services to farmers.\n<ul promoted women-led enterprises and SHG networks across Odisha.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jeevika (Bihar): <\/strong>Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) has improved livelihoods and financial inclusion among rural women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bibi fathima Swa Sahaya Sangha (Bibi Fatima SHG): <\/strong>Founded in<strong> Karnataka<\/strong>, this women-led initiative supports over <strong>5,000 farmers<\/strong> across <strong>30 villages <\/strong>through <strong>millet-based multi-cropping, seed banks, and solar-powered processing.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Challenges Faced by SHGs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Limited Market Access:<\/strong> Many SHGs face difficulties in branding, packaging, transportation, and market integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inadequate Financial Literacy:<\/strong> Lack of financial and digital literacy limits effective enterprise management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dependence on Subsidies: <\/strong>Some SHGs remain dependent on government assistance rather than sustainable business models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gender and Social Barriers:<\/strong> Patriarchal attitudes and mobility restrictions continue to affect women\u2019s
