class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On April 14, India commemorates <strong>Ambedkar Jayanti,<\/strong> marking the <strong>135th birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Early Life:<\/strong> Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He belonged to a Dalit (Scheduled Caste) family and faced severe caste discrimination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Despite hardships, he excelled in education with strong determination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Major Contributions:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In Framing of Constitution:<\/strong> He is known as the <strong>principle architect of the Constitution<\/strong>, as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Indian Constitution, he ensured inclusion of: Fundamental Rights, Equality before law and Abolition of untouchability (Article 17).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>His vision established a democratic framework with checks and balances among the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He considered the \u2018Right to Constitutional Remedies\u2019, enshrined in Article 32, as the <strong>\u2018heart and soul\u2019 of the Indian Constitution.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social: <\/strong>He led movements against caste discrimination and advocated for dalit rights, gender equality and social justice.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He founded <strong>Bahishkrit Hitkarini Sabha<\/strong> (Society for Welfare of the Ostracized) and led social movements such as Mahad Satyagraha in 1927, Kalaram Satyagraha in Nashik (1930).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Political:<\/strong> He was the <strong>first Law Minister<\/strong> of independent India and also founded political organizations like the <strong>Independent Labour Party (1936)<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He advocated for <strong>reservation\/affirmative action for SCs and STs.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promoted labour rights<\/strong> such as 8-hour workday, maternity benefits, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Worked for women\u2019s rights, including reforms in Hindu personal laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Major Literary Works:<\/strong> Annihilation of Caste, The Problem of the Rupee, Who Were the Shudras?,\u00a0 Mooknayak (fortnightly newspaper, in 1920) and The Bahiskrit Bharat (newspaper, 1927).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conversion to Buddhism: <\/strong>In 1956, he embraced Buddhism along with millions of followers.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He started a socio-religious movement for equality and dignity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was conferred with the title of \u201c<strong>Bodhisattva<\/strong>\u201d by the Buddhist monks at \u201cJagatik Buddhism Council\u201d in 1954 in Kathmandu, Nepal.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Legacy:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He is known as the \u201cFather of the Indian Constitution\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He was awarded Bharat Ratna (posthumously in 1990).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>His birth anniversary (14 April) is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Source:
