class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is organised by<strong> Buddhavanam and Telangana Tourism Development Corporation<\/strong>, in association with <strong>Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It brings together <strong>ministers, monks, scholars and delegates<\/strong> from <strong>over 20 countries<\/strong> in a bid to advance dialogue on peace, reconciliation and ethical leadership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To showcase Buddhavanam as a Buddhist Heritage Theme Park to world Buddhist countries, and to encourage them to have their monasteries and educational institutions at Buddhavanam to attract maximum footfalls from India.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is part of a larger global initiative aimed at<strong> positioning Telangana as a centre for Buddhist heritage diplomacy and peace-building.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff2cc\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Buddhavanam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is located in Telangana, and is<strong> India\u2019s first Buddhist Heritage Theme Park.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is located on the banks of the <strong>Krishna River<\/strong>, it showcases the life and teachings of Lord Buddha through art, sculptures, meditation zones, and thematic installations.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is developed by the <strong>Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Buddhism<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Buddhism is a spiritual and philosophical tradition based on the teachings of <strong>Siddhartha Gautama<\/strong>, known as the <strong>Buddha<\/strong>, who lived between roughly <strong>563 and 483 BCE <\/strong>in what is now Nepal and India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The core of Buddhism<\/strong> is the understanding of human suffering, its causes, and the path to overcome it.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buddhism offers a path to enlightenment, which is seen as liberation from suffering and the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ultimate goal in Buddhism is <strong>to attain Nirvana, a state<\/strong> of liberation from the cycle of birth, class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Core Teachings of the Buddha<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Four Noble Truths<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dukkha:<\/strong> Life is suffering or unsatisfactory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Samudaya: <\/strong>Suffering is caused by craving and attachment (tanh\u0101).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nirodha:<\/strong> The cessation of suffering is possible by letting go of craving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Magga: <\/strong>The path to the cessation of suffering is the Eightfold Path.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Noble Eightfold Path: <\/strong>Grouped into three categories: wisdom, ethical conduct, and mental discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Three Marks of Existence<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Anicca (Impermanence): <\/strong>All things are in constant change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dukkha (Suffering):<\/strong> Existence is filled with dissatisfaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Anatt\u0101 (Non-self): <\/strong>There is no permanent, unchanging self.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Goal: Nirvana (Nibb\u0101na)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A state beyond suffering and rebirth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieved through wisdom, ethical living, and mental discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nirvana is the ultimate liberation and peace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Buddhist Circuits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2016, the Ministry of Tourism announced the <strong>Buddhist Circuit as the country\u2019s first transnational tourism circuit<\/strong>, covering sites in Nepal and Sri Lanka alongside those in India.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Buddhist Circuit seeks to <strong>help tourists and pilgrims experience first-hand the teachings of Lord Buddha<\/strong> and trace the footsteps of Buddha.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The main sites covered under the circuit span the life of Buddha <\/strong>from his birth to his Parinirvana and comprise <strong>Bodh Gaya, Vaishali, Rajgir, Kushinagar, Sarnath and Shravasti<\/strong>, along with<strong> Kapilavastu and Lumbini.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Four Holiest Buddhist Sites (Chaturmah\u0101sth\u0101na):\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lumbini (Nepal): <\/strong>Birthplace of Gautama Buddha.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bodh Gaya (Bihar):<\/strong> Attained Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sarnath (Uttar Pradesh):<\/strong> First sermon (Dhammachakra Pravartana).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kushinagar class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It was founded in <strong>2012 <\/strong>following the<strong> Global Buddhist Congregation in New Delhi.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The IBC is the <strong>world\u2019s first organization<\/strong> that brings together Buddhist organizations, monastic orders, and lay institutions across 39 countries and over 320 member bodies.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mission: <\/strong>Embed Buddhist values into global conversations and foster harmony, the IBC upholds a vision of unity, compassion, and spiritual dialogue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Headquarters: <\/strong>New Delhi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Governing Structure: <\/strong>Includes both monastic and lay participation, truly reflecting the principle of collective responsibility in preserving and
