The certificate guarantees that the diamonds are <strong>conflict-free.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trade with <strong>non-participants is prohibited.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>India\u2019s Diamond Industry<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>India is the world&#8217;s largest cutting and polishing hub.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is a major importer of rough diamonds &amp; top exporter of cut and polished diamonds ($13.3 billion in 2024\u201325).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is the second-largest diamond market after the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is the nodal agency for implementing Kimberley Process Certificate. This injects liquidity into the banking system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OMO Sale:<\/strong> RBI sells government bonds to banks.
