Key provisions include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increasing <strong>FDI limit to 100%<\/strong> to attract greater foreign investment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introducing <strong>one-time registration for insurance intermediaries<\/strong> to simplify operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raising the <strong>share transfer approval threshold from 1% to 5%<\/strong> to reduce regulatory burden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing the <strong>Net Owned Fund requirement for foreign reinsurers from \u20b95,000 crore to \u20b91,000 crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 <\/strong>has significantly transformed India\u2019s insolvency framework by enabling timely resolution of financially distressed companies and improving recoveries for creditors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GST 2.0 Reforms: <\/strong>GST reforms introduced in 2025 aim to simplify tax structures and reduce compliance costs. The GST taxpayer base increased from 60 lakh in 2017 to over 1.6 crore by January 2026, indicating greater formalisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rationalisation of Penalties and Prosecution:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Integrated assessment &amp; penalty orders<\/strong> with no interest on penalties during appeal; pre-deposit reduced from <strong>20% to 10%<\/strong> (on core tax demand).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Updated returns allowed <\/strong>even after reassessment, with an additional 10% tax.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Immunity from penalty &amp; prosecution<\/strong> extended from underreporting to misreporting, on payment of full tax and interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decriminalisation<\/strong> of non-production of books and TDS on payments in kind;
