IBM Unveil Roadmap to Make India a Top-3 Quantum Economy by 2047"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Syllabus: GS3\/ Science &amp; Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Context<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The NITI Aayog\u2019s Frontier Tech Hub, in partnership with International Business Machines-IBM, has released a national roadmap to transform India into one of the world\u2019s top-three quantum economies by 2047.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quantum technology <\/strong>is a rapidly advancing field that leverages the principles of <strong>quantum mechanics <\/strong>to develop new technologies with unprecedented capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By 2035, quantum technologies are projected to unlock <strong>USD 1\u20132 trillion<\/strong> in new global value across industries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India entered the global quantum race by launching the <strong>National Quantum Mission (NQM) in 2023<\/strong>, from 2023-24 to 2030-31.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To seed, nurture and scale up scientific and industrial R&amp;D and create a vibrant &amp; innovative ecosystem in Quantum Technology (QT).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key pillars of quantum technologies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quantum Computing:<\/strong> Uses qubits and quantum information to perform computations exponentially faster than classical systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quantum Communication: <\/strong>Utilises quantum key distribution (QKD) and entanglement to enable ultra-secure communication that cannot be intercepted without detection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quantum Sensing &amp;
