programme<\/strong> in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dhordo <\/strong>will become the<strong> fourth solar-powered village in the State,<\/strong> after Modhera in Mehsana, Sukhi in Kheda, and Masali in Banaskantha.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is a remote village in Gujarat\u2019s Kutch internationally acclaimed as the <strong>\u2018Best Tourism Village\u2019 <\/strong>by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>As part of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana,<\/strong> every residential electricity connection in Dhordo has been solarised, ensuring that homes generate their own clean energy.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The system is projected to generate <strong>2.95 lakh units of electricity annually, <\/strong>directly translating into significant economic relief for residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It was launched in <strong>2024 <\/strong>and aims to provide free electricity to households by facilitating the installation of rooftop solar panels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Installation Targets:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By October 2025: <\/strong>Reaching 40 lakh,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>March 2027:<\/strong> 1 crore households.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The scheme offers a<strong> subsidy of up to 40%<\/strong> to households, making renewable energy more affordable and
