<strong>Earth-based simulations<\/strong> that <strong>mimic the physical, psychological, and operational conditions<\/strong> of space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These experiments allow astronauts and researchers to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Live in confined, spacecraft-like environments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow strict routines and conduct scientific tasks;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test communication protocols, resource management, and emergency procedures;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as <strong>laboratories for human spaceflight<\/strong>, allowing researchers to test psychological resilience, decision-making under stress, and adaptability to unpredictable conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>only major difference<\/strong> from actual space missions is the <strong>presence of gravity,<\/strong> which remains difficult to replicate on Earth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ISRO\u2019s Gaganyaan Analog Experiments (Gyanex)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These are being conducted in a <strong>static mock-up simulator in Bengaluru,<\/strong> led by<strong> ISRO\u2019s Human Space Flight Centre (HSFC) <\/strong>and are critical for future missions to the <strong>Moon, Mars, and beyond.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Gyanex-1,<\/strong> <strong>Group Captain Angad Pratap<\/strong> and <strong>two others<\/strong> spent 10 days in confinement, performing 11 science experiments and living solely on food developed by DRDO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These missions help ISRO gather data on:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Crew behavior under stress;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impact of isolation on health and performance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effectiveness of onboard systems and routines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Beyond Gaganyaan: Other Analog Missions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ISRO has conducted <strong>two additional analog missions in Ladakh<\/strong>, designed to mimic extraterrestrial habitats:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ladakh Human Analog Mission:<\/strong>
