Chile is the <strong>southernmost country in the world, the closest to Antarctica.<\/strong><br>2. It occupies a long, narrow strip of land between the <strong>Andes to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.<\/strong><br>&#8211; <strong>Borders:<\/strong><br>1. It shares land borders with <strong>Peru<\/strong> to the north, <strong>Bolivia<\/strong> to the northeast, <strong>Argentina<\/strong> to the east, and the <strong>Drake Passage<\/strong> in the far south.<br>&#8211; <strong>Climate and Topography:<\/strong><br>1. <strong>The diverse climate<\/strong> of Chile ranges from the <strong>world&#8217;s driest desert<\/strong> in the north, the <strong>Atacama Desert<\/strong> through a <strong>Mediterranean climate in the centre<\/strong>, humid subtropical in <strong>Easter Island<\/strong>, to an <strong>oceanic climate, including alpine tundra and glaciers in the east and south.<\/strong><br>2.
