Offers short-term skill training and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for youth nationwide, including rural areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)<\/strong>&#8211; Promotes apprenticeship with financial support for stipends, providing both basic and on-the-job training.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jan Sikhshan Sansthan (JSS)<\/strong>&#8211; Provides vocational skills to non-literates, neo-literates, and school dropouts (up to 12th standard), focusing on women, SC\/ST\/OBC, and minorities in rural and low-income urban areas.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Major Achievements (2015\u20132025)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Over 6 crore youth skilled:<\/strong> Across 38 sectors, including IT, manufacturing, services, construction, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/blog\/agriculture-in-india\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/blog\/agriculture-in-india\/\">agriculture<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Women empowerment:<\/strong> Special initiatives increased female workforce participation in several sectors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recognition:<\/strong> India ranked 11th in the WorldSkills Competition 2022.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sector-wise employment:<\/strong> Notable growth\u2014manufacturing (15%), services (20%), construction (25%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Socio-Economic Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Unemployment reduced: <\/strong>Employability among Indian graduates has risen to 54.81% (India Skills Report 2025).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Workforce participation increased: <\/strong>Employment rate rose from 36.9% to 37.9% in the same period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inclusive growth: <\/strong>Imparted growth for rural, tribal, LWE-affected, and Northeast regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Entrepreneurship boost: <\/strong>Youth equipped for self-employment, MSMEs, and start-ups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quality &amp;
