At least five, including the Chairperson, must be from minority communities.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each member, including the Chairperson, holds office for <strong>three years and is eligible for reappointment.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While investigating, the NCM has powers equivalent to a civil court, such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Summoning and enforcing the attendance of individuals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requiring the production of documents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receiving evidence on affidavits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requisitioning public records from courts or offices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ebecf0\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Constitutional Safeguards<\/strong><br>&#8211; <strong>Article 29:<\/strong> It protects both religious and linguistic minorities and ensures their right to preserve their culture, language, and script.
