focuses on <strong>maternal and newborn health,<\/strong> urging countries to <strong>reduce preventable deaths and prioritize women\u2019s long-term well-being.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>India\u2019s Commitment:<\/strong> The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, strengthens efforts for<strong> equitable, accessible, and quality healthcare.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>According to WHO<\/strong>, close to 300,000 women lose their life due to pregnancy or childbirth each year, while over 2 million babies die in their first month of life and around 2 million more are stillborn.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Based on current trends, 4 out of 5 countries<\/strong> are off track to meet targets for improving maternal survival by 2030.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>India\u2019s Maternal Mortality and Child Mortality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MMR (Maternal Mortality Ratio) in India<\/strong> dropped from 130 (2014-16) to 97 (2018-20) per 1,00,000 live births \u2013 a decline of 33 points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I<strong>nfant &amp;
