            About Sagarmala Programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            • Launched in 2015<\/strong>, it is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • It aims to accelerate economic development by leveraging India\u2019s 7,500 km long <\/strong>coastline<\/strong> and 14,500 km of potentially navigable waterways.\n
                \n
              • And, to reduce logistics costs for both domestic and EXIM (export-import) cargo while improving port efficiency and coastal trade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • The Sagarmala Programme <\/strong>is based on five key pillars<\/strong>: port-led industrialization, port modernization, port connectivity, coastal shipping & inland waterways, and coastal community development, aimed at reducing logistics costs, boosting trade efficiency, and strengthening India’s maritime sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
