It was established in <strong>1946<\/strong>.<br>&#8211; It is the <strong>highest body of the global statistical system<\/strong> bringing together the Chief Statisticians from member states.<br>&#8211; It is the <strong>highest decision making body <\/strong>for international statistical activities, responsible for setting of statistical standards and the development of concepts and methods, including their implementation.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About Indicator on Minimum Dietary Diversity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MDD-C &amp; MDD-W: <\/strong>The new MDD indicator measures <strong>dietary diversity for children (MDD-C) and women of reproductive age (MDD-W).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Indicator Definition: MDD-W <\/strong>is a simple yes\/no measure based on whether <strong>women have consumed at least five out of 10 defined food groups <\/strong>in the past 24 hours.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>10 Food Groups: <\/strong>Include grains, pulses, nuts, milk, meat, eggs, dark leafy vegetables, vitamin A-rich fruits\/veggies, other vegetables, and other fruits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Importance of Diversity: <\/strong>Dietary diversity is essential for <strong>preventing malnutrition and supporting overall health, growth, and well-being.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus on Quality: <\/strong>MDD emphasizes the<strong> variety of foods consumed, not just calorie intake, <\/strong>highlighting the importance of nutritious diets for health, growth, and well-being.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>FAO &amp;
