It involves agreements worth \u20b91,800 crore, benefiting 18 cities across 14 states and serving as lighthouse projects for other urban areas.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific <\/strong>forum was launched in <strong>2009 with the objective<\/strong> of regional cooperation for <strong>sustainable waste management and circular economy initiatives<\/strong> in the rapidly urbanizing and industrializing Asia-Pacific.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hanoi 3R Declaration (2013-2023)<\/strong> outlined 33 voluntary goals for shifting towards a more resource efficient and circular economy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It has been actively negotiating for a <strong>\u2018Global Plastic Treaty\u2019.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter
