<\/strong>within the meaning of Data Principal, effectively transferring decision-making power from the PwD to their guardian in specific cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Section 9(1):<\/strong> It mandates that for PwDs with legal guardians, consent for data processing must be obtained from the guardian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Guardianship Laws for PwD<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The National Trust Act (NT Act), 1999: <\/strong>Provides full guardianship for individuals diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, or severe multiple disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016:<\/strong> Advocates for &#8220;limited guardianship,&#8221;
