However, there\u2019s no mention at all of cultural tableaux at this parade.<br>&#8211; In the upcoming years Each state was invited to send a tableau representing some distinctive feature, displaying India\u2019s rich diversity.<br>&#8211; <strong>The Irwin Amphitheatre,<\/strong> designed by <strong>Robert Torr Russell,<\/strong> was built in <strong>1933 <\/strong>as a gift from the Maharaja of Bhavnagar.\u00a0<br>1. It was renamed the <strong>National Stadium in 1951,<\/strong> just before hosting the Asian Games.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Highlights of Military Strength<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sanjay and Pralay:<\/strong> The Army\u2019s battle surveillance system &#8220;Sanjay&#8221; and the Defence Research and Development Organisation&#8217;s (DRDO) surface-to-surface tactical missile &#8220;Pralay&#8221; were featured for the first time.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Joint Tri-Services: <\/strong>For the first time, a tri-services tableau, highlighting enhanced synergy among the country&#8217;s armed forces was showcased.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It depicted a coordinated battlefield scenario, featuring land, air, and naval operations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Key Military Assets: <\/strong>BrahMos, Pinaka, and Akash systems.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Indian Navy: <\/strong>It showcased indigenous warship design and included models of vessels such as INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer, underlining the country\u2019s progress in maritime security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Showcasing Women Empowerment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dimple Singh Bhati <\/strong>of the Indian Army created history by becoming the <strong>first woman officer <\/strong>to present a salute to the President.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An <strong>all-women marching contingent<\/strong> from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Delhi Police All-Women Band,<\/strong> included four women Sub-Inspectors and 64 women constables from the Brass and Pipe Band units.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The ministry of rural development\u2019s tableau<\/strong> on the<strong> &#8220;Lakhpati Didi Initiative,&#8221; <\/strong>which promotes women\u2019s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship and self-reliance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Indian Culture<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Republic Day parade featured 31 tableaux from<strong> 16 states and union territories, <\/strong>as well as <strong>central ministries and organizations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Theme: Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Uttar Pradesh\u2019s tableau<\/strong> highlighted the <strong>ongoing Maha Kumbh <\/strong>in Prayagraj, showcasing scenes of<strong> &#8216;Samudra Manthan,&#8217; <\/strong>&#8216;Amrit Kalash,&#8217; and holy bathing at the <strong>Sangam.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cultural performance: <\/strong>It spanned the entire Kartavya Path <strong>for the first time, over 5,000 folk and tribal artists<\/strong> performed <strong>45 dance forms<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The 11-minute performance, titled <strong>&#8220;Jayati Jaya Mamah Bharatam,<\/strong>&#8221; was curated by the <strong>Sangeet Natak Akademi.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Major Highlights<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Madhya Pradesh\u2019s <\/strong>tableau focused on the<strong> reintroduction of cheetahs in the state.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Ministry of Earth Sciences<\/strong> presented a tableau themed around the <strong>celebration of 150 years of India Meteorological Department (IMD).\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Significance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It marks the<strong> adoption of the Indian Constitution on January 26, 1950.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>January 26 is chosen to honour the<strong> declaration of Purna Swaraj<\/strong> made by the Indian National Congress on January 26,<strong> 1930.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It honors the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country and to <strong>bestow bravery awards upon military personnel and citizens.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It also <strong>pays tribute to the Constitution\u2019s principles <\/strong>and the <strong>democratic framework<\/strong> it established, highlighting values such as justice, equality, and fraternity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ebecf0\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Beating Retreat Ceremony<\/strong><br>&#8211; It is a ceremony that marks the <strong>end of Republic Day festivities.<\/strong><br>&#8211; <strong>Held on: <\/strong>January 29, three days after Republic Day, at the Vijay Chowk, New Delhi.\u00a0<br>&#8211; It features a musical performance by the bands of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Delhi Police, and the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).\u00a0<br>&#8211; The ceremony is <strong>presided over by the President of India.<\/strong>\u00a0<br>&#8211; It was first held in the <strong>1950s, <\/strong>during the <strong>state visit of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.\u00a0<\/strong><br>1.
