These funds <strong><em>support families, boost local economies, and contribute to national development.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Challenges and Growth Rate Highlighted in Report<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The report noted that the rate of growth of International migrants <strong>dipped annually to less than 1% between 2019 and 2022,<\/strong> influenced by factors such as the pandemic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gender Disparities:<\/strong> Migrant women faced <strong>higher unemployment rates<\/strong> (8.7%) compared to migrant men (6.2%), and their <strong>employment-to-population ratio was significantly lower<\/strong> at 48.1%, versus 72.8% for men.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Factors contributing to these disparities include language barriers, unrecognized qualifications, discrimination, limited childcare options, and gender-based expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Higher Unemployment Rates:<\/strong> Migrants faced a higher unemployment rate (7.2%) than non-migrants (5.2%), with women more affected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Policy Recommendations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To maximize the benefits of labor migration, the ILO emphasizes the <strong>need for comprehensive policies<\/strong> that enhance <strong><em>labor mobility, protect workers&#8217; rights, and promote inclusive growth.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These policies should address the specific needs of migrant workers, ensuring their safety, dignity, and economic well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ebecf0\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>About International Labour Organization (ILO)<\/strong><br>&#8211; It is an<strong> United Nations Agency <\/strong>established in 1919 as part of the <strong>Treaty of Versailles <\/strong>that ended <strong>World War I<\/strong>, and it became the <strong>first specialized agency of the UN<\/strong> in 1946.<br>1.
