education.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The standards were established by the <strong>Copenhagen-based Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in 1985.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The certification is<strong> updated annually,<\/strong> and locations must continue to meet the criteria to retain their Blue Flag
