class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Union Government is set to unveil the <strong>Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It was launched by the<strong> Ministry of Commerce and Industry<\/strong> in <strong>2014-2015<\/strong>, aims to improve the ease of doing business and enhance the overall business environment in the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Key Objectives:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Simplification of Regulatory Processes:<\/strong> Streamlining business regulations to reduce compliance burdens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digitization:<\/strong> Encouraging digital platforms for business registration, licensing, and other regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:<\/strong> Involving businesses in the reform process to ensure their needs are met.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Benchmarking:<\/strong> Comparing India\u2019s business environment with other countries to identify areas for improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Major Areas of Focus:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Starting a Business:<\/strong> Reducing the time and cost involved in starting a business.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Construction Permits:<\/strong> Streamlining processes for obtaining construction permits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Labor Regulation:<\/strong> Simplifying labor laws and improving compliance mechanisms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trade and Customs:<\/strong> Enhancing the efficiency of trade processes and customs clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implementation:<\/strong>The BRAP consists of a series of annual action plans, where states are evaluated on their reform efforts.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>States that perform well are recognized and rewarded, creating a competitive environment for reforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BRAP 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is set to establish a seamless business regulatory framework across the country, <strong>enhancing the ease of doing business.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Led by the <strong>Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT),<\/strong> BRAP 2024 introduces <strong>next-generation reforms<\/strong> that address the needs of both businesses and citizens.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BRAP 2024 continues to streamline processes, reduce compliance burdens, and implement digital solutions to make India a preferred global investment hub.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BRAP has expanded beyond its initial scope, covering critical sectors such as Labour, Environment, Taxes, Land Administration, Utility Permits, Inspection and Construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It was established in <strong>1995<\/strong>, and in the year 2000 the Department of Industrial Development was merged with it.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is working under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This department is responsible for formulation and implementation of promotional and developmental measures for growth of the industrial sector, keeping in view the national priorities and socio-economic objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a
