          • Infrastructure for Resilient Island States (IRIS): <\/strong>Aimed at promoting resilient, sustainable, and inclusive infrastructure in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • DRI Connect Platform: <\/strong>A collaborative platform for knowledge exchange and learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Facilitates networking and sharing of best practices among stakeholders in infrastructure resilience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI):<\/strong> An annual global conference that brings together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund (IRAF):<\/strong> Established with support from UNDP and UNDRR. It provides financial support for global initiatives aimed at enhancing the disaster resilience of infrastructure systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Need for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            • The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR)<\/strong> highlights the role of improved disaster resilience of infrastructure as a cornerstone for sustainable development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • The SFDRR includes four specific targets related to loss reduction:\n
                \n
              • Reduce global disaster mortality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Reduce the number of affected people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Reduce direct disaster economic loss.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Reduce disaster damage to critical infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Target (4) on infrastructure is an important prerequisite to achieving the other loss reduction targets set out in the framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
