on the &#8216;plug-n-play&#8217; and &#8216;walk-to-work&#8217; concepts.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This approach ensures that the cities are equipped with advanced infrastructure that supports sustainable and efficient industrial operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Area Approach on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/ca\/current-affairs\/09-07-2022\/gati-shakti-scheme\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/ca\/current-affairs\/09-07-2022\/gati-shakti-scheme\">PM GatiShakti:<\/a><\/strong> Aligned with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, the projects will feature multi-modal connectivity infrastructure, ensuring seamless movement of people, goods, and services.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The industrial cities are envisioned to be growth centers for transformation of the whole region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Significance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By positioning India as a <strong>strong player in the Global Value Chains (GVC)<\/strong>, the NICDP will provide developed land parcels<strong> ready for immediate allotment,<\/strong> making it easier for domestic and international investors to <strong>set up manufacturing units in India.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These projects are designed to <strong>attract substantial investments,<\/strong> with expectations of approximately Rs 1.52 trillion from both large anchor industries and MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Economic Impact and Employment Generation: <\/strong>This initiative is projected to generate 1 million direct and 3 million indirect jobs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Commitment to Sustainable Development: <\/strong>By providing quality, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure, the government aims to create industrial cities that are not just hubs of economic activity but also models of environmental stewardship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>National Industrial Corridor Development Programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is India&#8217;s most ambitious infrastructure programme aiming to develop new industrial cities as &#8220;Smart Cities&#8221;
