district judges, advocates, and supporting administrative staff.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The report is part of the scheme for <strong>Action Research and Studies on Judicial Reform<\/strong>s under the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f334fc4d599d8b6f45a53f4255c86717\"><strong>Major Findings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Overcrowding in Courtrooms:<\/strong> There is severe overcrowding in courtrooms, which are heavily burdened with case files and archived documents, leading to a lack of space for people inside.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As a result, advocates, litigators, and parties have to stand in the courtroom due to limited space inside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IT infra shortfalls: <\/strong>Only 45% of judicial officers surveyed reported having electronic display facilities, while 20% indicated that installations are still in progress.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Availability of video conferencing facilities in jail:<\/strong> Around 32.7% of judicial officers responded that they do not have any such facility available in their district court complex.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>41% of support staff reported the absence of computer units with multifunctional printers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lack of Fire Safety:<\/strong> <strong>Around 39% <\/strong>of judicial officers reported the absence furniture, with 36.3% of judicial officers agreeing that their courtrooms lack adequate seating and essential furnishings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lack of Basic Amenities:<\/strong> A large portion of the staff lacks access to basic amenities such as common rooms and attached toilets.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only 14.6% of male support staff and 10.7% of female support staff have Each cluster will receive targeted support to boost productivity and quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Export-Oriented Approach<\/strong>: These clusters are designed with an export-oriented mindset.
