promote mutual understanding<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> between people of different states\/UTs through the concept of state\/UT pairing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Implementation: <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Every State and UT in the country would be <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>paired<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> with another State\/UT for a time period, during which they would carry out a structured engagement with one another in the spheres of language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, tourism etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>The Ministry of Education<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> has been designated as the <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Nodal Ministry for coordination <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">of the programmes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",serif\"><strong>Dekho Apna Desh Initiative<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">It was launched by the <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Ministry of Tourism<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> in 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Objective: <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">To create awareness among the citizens about the rich heritage and culture of the country and <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>encourage citizens to travel within the country.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Target group:<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> This scheme primarily targets the<\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong> middle-class citizens <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">of the country, encouraging them to travel within India rather than abroad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Goal of the Scheme: <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">The scheme&#8217;s goal is to <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">increase domestic travel<\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> and so <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">strengthen the Indian economy.<\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> It is anticipated to expand employment prospects in the tourism industry and provide the economy of the nation a much-needed boost.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:circle\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">To create mass awareness, the Ministry has also launched an online <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><strong>Dekho Apna Desh pledge<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"> and Quiz on the MyGov.in platform.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1896413\" style=\"text-decoration-line:none\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",serif\"><span style=\"color:#1155cc\">PIB<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In News Indian Railways to introduce Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train under \u2018Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat\u2019 Scheme for special tour Garvi Gujarat.
