AIpowered chatbots can answer students&#8217; questions and provide feedback in real-time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environment Friendly operations:<\/strong> We can say that AI assisted operations optimize utilization of resources and generate less waste which makes it more environment friendly and sustainable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finance:<\/strong> AI detects fraud, assesses creditworthiness, and automates investment decisions. It continuously helps to analyse market trends, predict financial outcomes, and improve customer service through chatbots and virtual assistants.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;AI is already <strong>helping business leaders<\/strong> in automating business processes, gaining insights through advanced data analytics \u2014 predictive and post-event \u2014 and engaging with customers and employees with naturallanguage-processing chatbots<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smart Cities: <\/strong>Smart cities are slowly becoming the norm in many places worldwide. In a smart city, everything is connected\u2014traffic signals, street lights, security cameras\u2014allowing data to move quickly and efficiently between people and devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Developments: <\/strong>AI applications are rapidly evolving. For instance,<strong> ChatGPT <\/strong>is a large language model (LLM) that utilizes deep learning techniques that are trained on text data.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This model has been used in a variety of applications, including language translation, text summarisation, conversation generation, text-to-text generation and others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transborder, multilevel governance of AI is at the very heart of corporate governance, and sovereignty over peoples and nations is being transformed into masses of<strong> accumulated classified data.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff2cc\"><tbody><tr><td><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Do you know?<\/strong><br><\/span>&#8211; India has the necessary building blocks to develop a thriving AI research and development ecosystem, viz. availability of a highly educated talent pool, world class educational institutes and an illustrious list of top notch IT companies dominating the global IT landscape.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Issues and Challenges&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>Privacy, anonymity and autonomy<\/strong> remain the \u201cmain casualties of AI\u2019s ability to manipulate choices in economic and political decisions\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>present digital wars <\/strong>between the <strong>US and China <\/strong>&nbsp;represent three different \u201cdigital empires\u201d in complicity as well as collision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;The use of AI in medical and research fields has raised concerns about the <strong>potentially harmful effects<\/strong> it could have on the accuracy and integrity of the information it produces.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI tools\u2019 ability to generate human-like text can also raise <strong>ethical concerns<\/strong> in various sectors such as in the research field, education, journalism, law, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Absence of <strong>collaborative effort<\/strong> between various stakeholder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Concerns on privacy and security of dat<\/strong>a, including lack of formal regulation around anonymisation of data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inadequate availability<\/strong> of AI expertise, manpower and skilling opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deep-fake<\/strong> is another manifestation of the possible misuse of AI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the uses of <strong>AI technologies for war or terror purpose<\/strong>s or perspectives.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AI has now \u201crevolutionised\u201d warfare.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ebecf0\"><tbody><tr><td><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Do you know ?<\/strong><br><\/span><strong>&#8211; Free digital model of the US<\/strong> amounts to complete freedom to the AI industry (the techno-optimistic model) revives the models of free speech and open markets, leaving the form and content entirely open to free market forces.&nbsp;<br>&#8211; The<strong> Chinese state-driven regulatory mode<\/strong>l is on \u201cthe ascent worldwide, leading to growing concern in the US, the EU, and the rest of the democratic world.<br>a. The Chinese state-driven model \u201cappeals to many developing authoritarian countries\u201d because it <strong>\u201ccombines political control with tremendous technological success\u201d<\/strong>.<br>&#8211; <strong>EU Declaration on Development: <\/strong>The very few actually existing \u201cdemocratic\u201d societies seem to prefer the EU model, seen as providing the \u201cnecessary building blocks of a more equitable and human-centric digital economy.\u201d<br>a.
