{"id":17457,"date":"2023-09-21T17:03:47","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T11:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/current_affairs\/?p=17457"},"modified":"2023-09-21T17:03:50","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T11:33:50","slug":"pink-diamonds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/ca\/current-affairs\/21-09-2023\/pink-diamonds","title":{"rendered":"Pink Diamonds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Syllabus:GS3\/ Science and Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The researchers have found the \u201c<strong>missing ingredient\u201d <\/strong>for pink diamonds by measuring the age of elements of the crystals of an Argyle rock sample.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Background<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pink diamonds are some of the world\u2019s most expensive stones due their rarity and beauty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than<strong> 90% of all the pink diamonds ever found<\/strong> were discovered at the <strong>Argyle mine <\/strong>in the remote northwest of Australia.However most other diamond mines are located&nbsp; in the middle of a continent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients for Forming Pink Diamonds<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For formation of the Pink diamond three ingredients are needed.
